London, 14 September 2017 – 3D Repo, the pioneer of a cloud based platform for design collaboration in 3D Building Information Modelling (BIM), will be exhibiting its latest innovations in Virtual Reality and 4D modelling at the forthcoming Digital Construction Week exhibition. The tech company will be showcasing a range of innovations designed for autonomous vehicle simulation in VR and 4D sequence visualisations to analyse construction projects over time. 3D Repo will be on stand C49 at Digital Construction Week from the 18-19 October at London’s Excel.
“Digital Construction Week brings to together the most innovative players in the built environment attracting visitors with the opportunity to get hands on with the latest technology, including our VR and 4D visualisations, and more than 90 hours of conference and seminar content,” commented Dr Jozef Dobos, CEO of 3D Repo.
Digital Construction Week (DCW) is the only event series in the UK dedicated to digital transformation in construction, engineering, design, manufacturing and operation. The event series features a 2 day exhibition, hands on demonstrations and free-to-attend seminars, workshops, classes, networking events and a full 2 day thought leadership conference. Co-curated by the UK Governments Digital Built Britain Strategy, the conference boasts 5 themed seminar streams covering Visualisation, Geospatial, Industry 4.0, Tech and BIM.
In addition to demonstrating its multi award winning BIM collaboration tools, 3D Repo will also be presenting at the DCW conference within the Visualisation Stream. On day two of the conference 3D Repo, in partnership with Freeform 3D, will present one of several case studies demonstrating client value and return on investment for VR. Drawing on recent project experience with Skanska, 3D Repo will also show how it helped develop a single, integrated and accessible platform where data relating to every aspect of an infrastructure project can be visualised and analysed. The UK Innovate funded VISUALISE project also allows for the sharing of information, bringing together data from BIM, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and other asset databases.
To coincide with DCW and kick off the week’s proceedings 3D Repo will be organising the fourth British Information Modelling event. Bringing together innovators and experts from across the BIM and GIS sectors high profile representatives from Flux.io, Bryden Wood and Ordnance Survey will join 3D Repo at Geovation Hub in London on the 16th October. Notes to Editors
3D Repo is a multi-award winning company offering a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the cloud. Instead of architects, consultants and contractors sharing massive proprietary files in a costly and time consuming manner, they can simply point their web browser to an encrypted knowledge base in order to examine each project stage virtually, even on mobile devices.
With 3D Repo, users can then manage model revisions and highlight potential issues using live collaboration tools, which allow the whole project team to work from a single source of truth. More than 40 different 3D file formats are decomposed and federated in the company’s big data repository. Additionally, the project knowledge base can be accessed via VR giving a live experience which has applications in Health and Safety training and client experiences.
The 3D Repo team has collaborated on a number of large scale projects with companies such as ARUP, Balfour Beatty, Skanska, Crossrail and Canary Wharf Contractors. http://3drepo.org/
