DESCRIPTION

Leading players from the world of construction will come together at The Shard in London for the fifth British Information Modelling Event on 27th June 2018. Attracted by high profile speakers from organisations such as BuroHappold, the Transport Research Lab (TRL) and Atkins, delegates at the evening seminar and networking event will also be able to get hands-on with some of the newest Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology including patent-pending clash and change detection solutions from 3D Repo. The British Information Modelling event is free to attend although pre-registration is required.

Speakers at the fifth British Information Modelling event will include Alain Waha, a specialist in digital transformation and business incubation within the AEC sector. Waha will discuss how disruption in an industry, such as construction, can lead to innovation. While Will Squires, an expert on smart cities and senior consultant at Atkins, will talk about how Atkins is moving towards a truly digital future.

TRL will present the latest news and results from the £100 million government-backed Smart Mobility Living Lab. Located in Greenwich the Lab provides a real-life environment where Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) can be developed, evaluated and integrated with the local community. Finally, Dimitrie Stefanescu, a research fellow at the UCL Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, will present Speckle a community-led open design collaboration tool.
